Allows 34" of the trailer tongue to fold-away, letting a boat trailer fit inside most smaller garages. Installs easily on an existing 3x3 trailer beam. Unique patented offset design for superior on road performance. Provides a professional look with a design that hides manually cut surfaces. Excellent corrosion protection with Z-Max 600-hour clear zinc finish. Includes fold-away hinge, mounting hardware, pivot bolt and pivot pin/clip. This Fulton Swing-Away Kit is not to be attached to aluminum trailers.

This item is as advertised, it actually was better than advertised. Heavy duty material and easy to install. I did not give it 5 stars because nothing is perfect, but this is close.

Service was good and shipping prompt. The kit itself was complete and looks to be plenty strong. The only negative is that it requires a T-55 torx socket, which is not part of a typical set (T-50 is usually the biggest). The Sears store wouldn't sell me a single socket of this size. I ended up buying a cheap set that did include this size. It held up long enough to get this installed. I'd suggest that a more typical hex head bolt would be more appropriate. Otherwise an easy install.

Exactly what I was looking for....

Great price and fast shipping from trailerandtruckparts....Hinge kit worked perfectly for my needs--was able to reduce overall trailer length by 3 feet. Easy to install--wish I had done this years ago.

Quality product from a great supplier. Best price I found, fast shipping and friendly, knowledgable people. I ended up using stainless flat washers to shim the space between the tongue tube and the hinge casting. I was more comfortable torquing it down that way.

Just what I needed

This kit is great. I have a 16' modified bass boat trailer(converted to flatbed) that I trailer my hovercraft on. It isn't hard to install. DO NOT try to drill through the top set of holes. Make sure you have a good set of Titanium Nitride bits(the gold ones) and take it slow, let the weight of the drill do the work. Fit and finish on the kit is awesome. I even did the "jump up and down on the tongue" test and didn't get any rattle.

Retired

I have had the product on the trailer for a couple of weeks and used it several times. It was a bit of work to install due to the sixteen bolts that it requires. When I received it the kit was short one bolt so I called the Manufacturer and they were excellent about sending a replacement. I am very happy with the product overall.
